Ovulation Calculator
The best time to conceive is to have intercourse around the time that you are ovulating.
"When do I ovulate?" you might ask,
to calculate this you can use our ovulation calculator below or you can calculate it yourself by:
- taking your average cycle length (say you have an average 31 day cycle)
- then you count 14 days backwards (this will put your expected ovulation
day at day # 17).
If you have a 28-day cycle then you expected ovulation day would be day # 14.
You should aim to have intercourse 3 days prior to your ovulation day, either every 24, 36 or 48 hours.
This will increase you chances of falling pregnant. The egg only lives for 24 hours, but sperm can remain alive in
the fallopian tubes for up to 72 hours.
It is best to have the sperm "waiting" in you fallopian tubes when the egg is
released.
